Welcome back to the Treasure Podcast. I'm your host, Vera Haig, and today's episode is all about song revisions, catch up confessions, and why autocorrect might be the real enemy of faith. Now, before anyone gets offended, this is all and fun. We're gonna talk about how autocorrect fails, because let's be honest, autocorrect has turned more prayer requests into comedy than anything else. So to all the people whose phones have betrayed them in text, we see you, and it's uh not fun. I know personally I tend to text lol and it says loo, like yeah, I need to go to the loo. Lol. Alright, to start it off, we would do song revisions, and the first song is Judas by Jessia Queen. Now, listen, I love this song, and I pretty much say that the songs that I love I'm probably gonna uh rewrite because it's just I love them, but I probably shouldn't do it, but it's fun anyways. Alright, so the Judas by Jessia Queen is a powerful song, but I revised it for my life and it would sound like this. Maybe I'm like Judas, maybe I'm that snacker, maybe I'm that person who betrayed my dad for a taco platter, and then go on to say, He ain't worse than me, cause he traded for silver, and I traded my salad for a contrast supreme. Oh yeah, and if my phone's autocorrect saw me at Taco Belt, it probably changed my text from getting tacos to getting chaos. You know what? That's accurate. I rebuke them calories in Jesus' name. Alright, let's go on to the next song. Demons by Josiah Queen. Now Demons is another deep one, but my version would be called snacks. I've been fighting snacks, I've been fighting cravings, I've been fighting the urged we eat pizza admin in night. Because sometimes the real battle isn't against demons, it's against the pantry. And if autocorrect caught me texting about eating chips after midnight, it changed snacking to attacking, which honestly it's also pretty accurate. Alright, the ketchup gospel. Now let's talk about ketchup. People says it doesn't belong in everything. I say watch me. Ketchup on eggs? Absolutely. Ketchup on mac and cheese, don't judge me. If there was a worship song about ketchup, it'd be called covered by the sauce. Because when I say I'm covered, I mean both spiritually and literally. And if autocorrect tried to fix my text about ketchup, it'd probably change it to catch up. Or as in, oh, I need to run and I need to catch up to them. No phone, I don't need to catch up, I need condiments. Alright, the fire sauce revival. Now Taco Bell Fire Soft deserves its own worship song. Something like set a fire on my tongue. You take one bite and suddenly you're like, Lord, I feel the heat. It sets a fire in my soul, and if a revival ever breaks out at Taco Bell, I'm not saying I started it, but I'm not saying I didn't. And if I tried to text someone about it, Autocorrect would change fire sauce to Dire Sauce. Which after the third pocket is also pretty accurate. No phone, I live dangerously. It's called Faith with Flavor. Alright, the autocorrect betrayal. Let's be real, autocorrect has rooted more spiritual moments than we'd like to admit. You tray or you try to text praying for you, autocorrect sends P-R-E-Y-I-N-G praying for you. Now you sound like a villain. Or like a lion seeking a mouse or something, or that'd be a cat, wouldn't it? Or you type blessed day, it sends blasted day. Suddenly you're complaining instead of praising. The worst is when you're trying to send a prayer request and autocorrect changes healing to H E E L I N G. Now everyone thinks you need new shoes. So to all the autocorrect victims out there, huh, I understand. My phone is not anointed, neither is yours. Alright, let's go to worship team revisions. If a worship song were if worship songs were revised for real life, they'd probably sound like this. Waymaker becomes snack maker when you're hungry after service. Break every chain probably becomes untangle every chord when the microphone cables get a little messy. And I speak Jesus becomes I speak Wi-Fi when the live stream don't connect. And if autocorrects on the worship team, it's changing Holy Spirit to Holy Spirit. And now we're worshiping a Christmas direct direct decoration. Oh my. Alright, the truth and laughter. Even in all the laughter, there's truth behind it. God gave us joy for a reason. Psalms 126 2 says, Then was our mouth filled with laughter and our tongue with singing. And then said they among the heathen, the Lord hath done great things for them. Laughter doesn't make faith less serious, it makes it stronger. It reminds us that holiness isn't about being stiff, it's about being real, joyful, and thankful. So if you're laughing today, you're doing something right. Either that or I did something right. Alright. Thanks for listening to the Treasure Podcast. This has been Vera Haig, your host, ketchup enthusiast, and occasional fire sauce fire sauce revival starter. I know this was a little bit short, but that's okay. Alright, remember lapse better when you can laugh, love Jesus, and not take yourself too seriously, because joy is holy too. And as always, remember you are loved, chosen, seen, and treasured.
